After the lesson, students can be able to analyze, inspect and correct a complete set of shipping and insurance documents of an actual shipment. Besides, students will also take a trip around Cat Lai port which is the biggest container port in Vietnam. The trip is guided by port’s staff to present information regarding specific areas and facilities within the port and their functions. This activity help students bridge the gap between the flows of documents and information which have been taught previously in the class and that of physical goods which can only be demonstrated by the on-location trip. Thanks to this trip, students can thoroughly understand specific steps needed to be taken and related departments/divisions needed to communicate with when exporting or importing a shipment at the port.

After the lesson, students take a practical test issued by Professional Training Department of Tan Cang – STC. The results of this test will account for a certain percentage of the final points of the subject.
