After two academic years training efforts within the international business’s program, the K19 students finally completed the FIATA International Certification Program - managing international freight forwarding follow the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations standards (FIATA Diploma Freight Forwarding).
On Tuesday, August 7th 2018 morning, the Faculty of Business Administration and the Vietnam Aviation and Logistics Institute solemnly organized a ceremony to personally award the graduation certificate of FIATA program at Conference hall 6B, Ton Duc Thang University;
Attending the ceremony were the presence of Dr. Thomas Sim, Chairman of the Advisory Body Vocational Training (FIATA), First Vice President of the Singapore Logistics Association, President of the FIATA’s human resources development ; Mr. Hiep Le - President of Vietnam Logistics Association (VLA); A number of representatives from companies accompany with our program during the past two years: Tan Cang Human Resource Development - STC, Vietnam Logistics Institute, Hoang Ha International Company, Expeditor, Vietnam Shipping Gazette magazine and over 300 students of the high quality International Business Program;
The formal opening ceremony was the speech of Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Vice Rector of Ton Duc Thang University. He shared the potential advantages of the logistics industry and emphasized the importance of training highly skilled human resources;
Dr. Thomas Sim then congratulated and shared with the international business students the trend of the logistics industry in the future and the career opportunities in the logistic fields, SCM and IMEX. He also explained the vital role and FIATA’s impact as the official global representative body of logistics services.
VLA Representative, Mr. Le Duy Hiep - Chairman also sent congratulations to Ton Duc Thang University and VILAS that have successfully organized the training program and acquired the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding for K19 High Quality International Business program students. Mr. Hiep also said that the logistics industry is strongly developing and desperately needs high skilled human resources. He affirmed that the VLA Association and its member businesses will continue support, facilitate, and reflect the students’ experiences in the real-life working environment who have been studying our program. Finally, VLA and VILAS’s representatives awarded the FIATA certificate to the students in the joy of every student and staff member at Ton Duc Thang University.
