On March 10, 2023, Hospitality Management students had an opportunity to visit the 5-star Caravelle Saigon hotel (19 - 23 Lam Son Square, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City)
During the training session, the students met and interacted with members of the Hotel's Board of Directors, including Mr. Jean Philippe Lovotti (General Manager), and Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ha (Human Resources Director). The visit also helped students expand their knowledge a lot after interacting with Ms. Tran Diem Phuong - Head of the Hotel's Lobby Department. Students are supported with guidance to visit all business areas in the hotel such as: Cafe de l'Opera restaurant, Nineteen buffet restaurant, Reflections restaurant, Saigon bar; GYM area, swimming pool, VIP room area (Caravelle Club Lounge), hotel's bedroom area. In addition, students also have the opportunity to be introduced to the history of the establishment and development of the hotel, as well as the characteristics of corporate culture at the hotel.
Through the talk as well as introductory video clips prepared by the hotel, the students better understand the business models, the job positions in the industry that students can choose for their future. Besides, you also get career advice as well as ask questions related to the recruitment criteria of the hotel.
After the visit, the students had valuable experiences and had more opportunities to improve their knowledge and skills in the Hospitality industry.
