On the afternoon of April 3, 2023, at the stadium of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), the Faculty of Business Administration (MBA) organized the Opening Ceremony of the traditional football tournament for students of the Faculty of Business Administration in 2023. The Faculty's football tournament in 2023 brought together 24 teams from different majors and courses managed by the Faculty, with the hope of providing a playground and fostering a sporting spirit among the students. The aim was to enhance the students' physical fitness so that they can actively participate in their academic pursuits and personal development. Additionally, the event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of physical training, developments of sports activities in general and football in the academic environment in particular.
The program was honored to welcome the presence of esteemed teachers from the Faculty of Business Administration and the referee team to attend the opening ceremony. Notably, the extremely enthusiastic and passionate supporters in the stands played a crucial role in creating an atmosphere full of excitement and joy for this year's tournament.
During the program, Dr. Phung Minh Tuan, Assistant Dean of the Business Administration Faculty, shared his advice and guidance with the participating players. He also officially inaugurated the BA Champions League 2023. Along with that, representatives of the referee team and over 200 participating players read the oath to strictly abide by the regulations of the organizing committee, adhere to the tournament's rules and demonstrate unity, fairness, and high discipline throughout the competition.
The tournament, organized by the Business Administration Student Association, consisted of a preliminary round with 24 teams divided into 6 groups. The top two teams from each group advanced to the quarter-finals, where they competed in a knockout format to secure a spot in the next round. Each team included students from the Business Administration Faculty, representing many different classes and majors. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the competition began with matches between Team A1 (19H70502-19H70501-19H70504-19070601) and Team A2 (22K70601), as well as Team B1 (20070501, 20070581, 20070601, 20H70602) and Team B2 (20070701, 20H70404, 20H70604). The results were 3-0 and 1-2, respectively, showcasing the intensity and drama that provided thrilling moments for the presenting audiences at the TDTU stadium.
