Adjunct Professor Appointment Ceremony for Professor Yan Min-ren and International Academic Session on Systems Thinking
On the morning of August 24, 2026, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), in collaboration with the BAC – Marketing Club, held an Adjunct Professor Appointment Ceremony for Professor. Yan Min-ren, followed by an international academic session on “Systems Approach for Sustainable Healthcare: System promoted by United Nations.” The event brought together faculty members, FBA students, and international exchange students, providing an opportunity to connect with international expertise and explore systems thinking in addressing real-world challenges, with sustainable healthcare as one of the key topics discussed. The program contributed to fostering interdisciplinary thinking and advancing internationalization at home at TDTU.

At the workshop themed “Systems Approach for Sustainable Healthcare: System promoted by United Nations,” Prof. Yan Min-ren – Director of the Institute of Digital Innovation and Sustainable Development at National Chengchi University (Taiwan), with extensive experience in research, academia, and international policy advisory roles – introduced a systems thinking approach to analyzing and addressing complex challenges. Through his presentation on developing sustainable healthcare models, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the ESG framework, Prof. Yan highlighted how economic, social, environmental, and governance factors can be interconnected in decision-making processes.
The workshop provided faculty members, FBA students, and international students with an interdisciplinary perspective, fostering global awareness, systems thinking, and the ability to apply knowledge to real-world contexts. The activity also contributed to advancing internationalization at home and supporting the Faculty’s commitment to innovation and global engagement, in line with the spirit of the Engagement and Innovation standards of AACSB.
