In the morning of June 15th, 2012, the 3rd International Conference on Finance and Economics (ICFE 2016) was held at Ton Duc Thang University. Attending the Opening Ceremony was the presence of Prof. Le Vinh Danh, Rector of Ton Duc Thang University; Prof. Drahomíra Pavelková, Vice Rector of Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic, Chairman of the Workshop; Mr. Mark Billington, Southeast Asia Regional Director, Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, Co-Chair of the Workshop; Mr. Neill James, Deputy Consul General, UK at HCM; Dr. Ha Thi Ngoc Ha, Former Deputy Director, Accounting Regime Department, Ministry of Finance; Dr. Mr. Tran Khanh Lam, General Secretary of Vietnam Association of Certified Accountants, experts, researchers, lecturers and students.
The conference took place from 15th to 17th of June, 2016 with the participation of many scientists, experts, and students from many countries: United States, Czech Republic, Australia, Hungary, Taiwan, Republic Azerbaijan, Sri-lanka, and Vietnam. This includes the presence of leading academics from prestigious universities such as New York University (USA), Queensland University (Australia), University of New South Wales (Australia), University Tomas Bata in Zlín (Czech Republic), Prague University of Economics (Czech Republic), Fengchia University (Taiwan) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. There were 66 lectures including theoretical and applied topics in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Economics. In particular, the proceedings of the ICFE 2016 Conference will be published by the Tomas Bata University in Zlín Publishing House with the ISBN index and will be prepared for inclusion in the Thomson Reuters’s database.
ICFE is a forum for scientists, industry experts to exchange, analyze and share new research findings in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Management, and Economics; thereby promoting cooperation between Ton Duc Thang University and other partner institutions in the field of training and research. It was also a bridge between Vietnamese enterprises and researchers in the world to open new research directions as well as apply research results into the reality.
