On May 14, 2022, The Faculty of Business Administration held a virtual academic meeting with the participation of Prof. Pham Thi Minh Ly, lecturers, postgraduate students, and graduate students of the Faculty. PhD. Pham Thi Ngan shared an interesting study titled “The linkages of big data analytics (BDA), circular economy (CE), sustainable supply chain flexibility (SSC), and sustainable performance in manufacturing firms”.
Based on 320 observations from manufacturing companies in India, the findings of the study suggest that SSC flexibility plays a pivotal role in fostering CE and BDA-based business models and approaches to enhance SSC performance. In addition, the present study attempts to provide an empirical justification for the organizations to develop their BDA capabilities to implement a successful CE strategy, develop SSC flexibility, and develop sustainable supply chains.
The meeting ended after a lively discussion about the future research recommendations as well as the combination of BDA, CE, SSC flexibility and SSC performance in the context of manufacturing firms in Viet Nam. The activity was such a valuable opportunity that young lecturers could accumulate specific knowledge and improve their scientific research skills.
