On August 16, 2025, the event took place at the Sports Hall in a vibrant atmosphere of welcoming the new academic year and looking forward to the Faculty’s 20th Anniversary (March 15, 2006 – March 15, 2026).
Held annually, the event fosters stronger connections between the Faculty Board, lecturers, and students by creating a platform for open dialogue and feedback to improve teaching quality and the overall learning experience. It also serves as a bridge linking corporations, alumni, and the academic community, enriching student engagement throughout the 2025–2026 academic year.
Representing the Faculty Board, the event was attended by:
- Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly – Vice Chair of the University Council, Ton Duc Thang University, and Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration;
- Phung Minh Tuan – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration;
- MComm. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh – Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration.
Also in attendance were the Heads and lecturers from all 5 departments as well as the employees of the Faculty.
Among the distinguished guests were alumni of the Faculty of Business Administration, including:
- Mr. Nguyen Van Trong – Chairman, Hoa Hiep Construction and Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company;
- Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thanh – Credit Technology and Partnership Manager, MoMo Joint Stock Company (MoMo Vietnam);
- Mr. Vo Thanh An – Front Office Manager, Fusion Suites Saigon Hotel;
- Mr. Nguyen Quang Khoa – Business Development Manager, Yeah1 Edigital Joint Stock Company;
- Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh – Deputy Recruitment Manager, Human Resources Division, FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company.
Also in attendance were representatives of student clubs, teams, and groups, together with nearly 2,000 students from Cohorts 26, 27, and 28.
At the opening of the gathering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration – reviewed the key milestones and achievements of both the University and the Faculty in the past academic year. She encouraged students to continuously strive in their studies and personal development, equipping themselves with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful managers in the future. At the same time, she outlined the goals for the new academic year and launched an emulation movement among lecturers, students, and alumni to celebrate the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the Faculty of Business Administration (March 15, 2006 – March 15, 2026). The Dean ended her speech by wishing all students great success in their future endeavours.
The event continued with an engaging exchange featuring alumni speakers who shared valuable insights on effective study methods, maximising university resources, and the importance of building professional networks during student life. Their stories of entrepreneurship, corporate experience, and community involvement inspired students to recognise that the skills and relationships cultivated at the university are essential foundations for future success.
A special highlight came when a student representative of Cohorts 26, 27, and 28 took the stage to extend New Academic Year greetings to lecturers, peers, and the Faculty—in four languages: Vietnamese, English, Japanese, and Chinese. This not only reflected the spirit of international integration but also conveyed hopes for a year filled with opportunities and aspirations to reach new heights.
The event concluded in a warm, energetic atmosphere, opening the 2025–2026 academic year with renewed motivation, clear direction, and determination for students to excel in their studies and personal growth.
