On November 8, 2025, at New World Saigon Hotel, students from the Business Administration program – specializing in Hospitality Management at Ton Duc Thang University successfully organized the Wine Tasting event – a practical learning experience combining theory and real-world application.
This event was entirely organized by the students themselves as part of the “Event Management” course, from concept development, planning, partner coordination to program execution. Through this project, students had the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practice, enhance their organizational and teamwork skills, and gain hands-on experience in a professional hospitality setting.
The session proudly welcomed Sommelier Le Hoang Khanh Vi – Vice President of the Vietnam Sommelier Association, who shared in-depth insights into the art of wine tasting, techniques for identifying aromas and flavors, food pairing principles, and professional wine service standards in international hotels.
Beyond a learning experience, this event was also a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, professionalism, and passion for the hospitality industry – embodying the spirit of “Learning by Doing” that the Faculty and the University continually promote.
