On the afternoon of April 3, 2024, the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) along with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) inaugurated the external accreditation for 4 study programs of TDTU according to the FIBAA standard.
The 4 study programs accredited include: Master of Business Administration, Master of Accounting, Bachelor of Sport Management – Major in Sport Business and Event Management, and Bachelor of Sport Management – Major in Golf.
Within the framework of the external accreditation, the process was done synchronously online at TDTU and the FIBAA organization (Germany).
Attending the opening ceremony from FIBAA were Ms. Lisa Lubomierski, Project Manager, and 6 experts which include reputable professors teaching and researching at leading universities in Europe, enterprise representatives, student representatives, and domestic experts.
On TDTU’s side, there was the presence of Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Chairman of the Science and Training Council and President of TDTU, along with the leaders of the different Faculties, Departments, and lecturers of the accredited study programs.
Speaking at the opening session, Ms. Lisa Lubomierski emphasized that: FIBAA is a reputable education quality assurance organization, recognized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). The main focus of FIBAA is to ensure the quality of business administration, law, information technology, education and natural sciences, social sciences and humanities programs, as well as interdisciplinary topics in these fields (from undergraduate to doctoral level). Ms. Lisa Lubomierski also shared that in a constantly changing and developing world, persistently developing higher education is crucial to help graduating students face and overcome challenges and difficulties.
At the opening session, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Chairman of the Science and Training Council and President of TDTU, delivered a speech in which the University highly appreciated FIBAA’s standards and considered them a solid foundation for TDTU to comprehensively evaluate all training programs, especially the teaching and learning process; simultaneously, affirming the University’s desire to receive guidance and suggestions from FIBAA’s expert panel to continue improving and enhancing the quality of the University’s study programs.
On behalf of FIBAA, Ms. Lisa Lubomierski and the expert panel expressed gratitude to the leaders, lecturers, and staff of TDTU for dedicating a lot of time and effort to prepare for the accreditation process with numerous documents to be completed. TDTU representatives also expressed appreciation to the FIBAA expert panel for supporting the University in preparing the self-assessment report and conducting the external accreditation. On the occasion of FIBAA’s 30th anniversary, TDTU sent congratulations to the organization, hoping to witness FIBAA’s continuous development and even greater contributions to the community for a bright and prosperous future.
Ton Duc Thang University is ranked in the TOP 601-800 of the best universities in the world according to THE World University Rankings and is included in the TOP 100 of the best young universities in the world according to THE Young University Rankings, as well as in the TOP 100 of the best universities in Asia according to THE Asia University Rankings 2023.
TDTU consistently reaffirms its quality through international accreditation organizations. On March 6, 2024, it was granted the Institutional Accreditation Certification (Higher Education Institution) according to the international quality standards of FIBAA (European Standard) for the 2024-2030 period. As of April 2024, the University has a total of 35 study programs evaluated and recognized according to international standards, including 15 programs certified for quality under the AUN-QA standard, 11 programs certified for quality under the FIBAA standard, and 9 programs certified for quality under the ASIIN standard.
