Fuzzy AHP Analysis of Firm-Level Knowledge Accumulation

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 10:57

Knowledge is considered to be a useful tool for a firm’s competitiveness and sustainability. There is considerable evidence confirming that firm-level knowledge (FLK) accumulation provides a competitive advantage for firms, through innovation. Therefore, most knowledge-intensive firms accumulate FLK via exploitative practices to prevent deterioration of their innovation performance. This study adopts methods including expert interviews, an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy set theory to analyse the FLK accumulation in firms.

Asset liquidity and firm innovation.

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 10:56

In this paper, we examine the effects of asset liquidity on innovation investments. We show that firms with highly liquid assets tend to invest more in research and development (R&D) and to generate higher numbers of patents and patent citations. These findings hold even after controlling for cash holdings, stock liquidity, and firm characteristics. We hypothesize that the positive effect of asset liquidity on innovation is because this liquidity can help firms reduce the cost of capital.

The role of packing format, alcohol level and brand in consumer's choice of beer: A best-worst scaling multi-profile approach.

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 10:53

Although beer is widely consumed around the world and has the largest market share among alcoholic beverages, there is a paucity of studies on consumers’ preferences for beer compared to wine. Relationship between Innovation-led HR Policy, Strategy and Firm Performance: A Serial Mediation Investigation.

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 10:46

This research examines the relationship between innovation‐led strategy and innovation‐led HR policy (hereafter, management initiatives) and innovation performance. Our research model is theorized and tested in the Vietnamese context, based on the servant leadership theory and componential theory of creativity. We draw upon constructs of management initiatives, servant leadership, employee creativity, and firm innovation to hypothesize serial mediation mechanisms linking management initiatives to firm performance.

Environmental degradation and economic growth in ASEAN-10: The perspective of EKC hypothesis.

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 09:04

Environmental issues have been ranked among the most intense debates over the past decades by governments around the world. Sustainable development goals have been top priorities in the working agenda of national cabinets and administrations which questions the chronic trade-off between environment and economic performance. This paper aims at contributing further insights into the above-mentioned linkage to the contemporary literature by testing the validity of the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis.

Effects of inclusive leadership on organizational citizenship behavior: the mediating roles of organizational justice and learning culture

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 09:02

The aim of this article is to examine the causal relationship between inclusive leadership and employees’ organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of Vietnam service workers. This article also examines the mediating roles of organizational justice and organizational learning culture in this causal relationship. We collected data via a questionnaire survey of a sample of 268 employees from four service firms in Vietnam. The results showed that inclusive leadership is positively related to OCB.

Hotel choice: A closer look at demographics and online ratings

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 09:01

In this paper, the authors explore how demographic variables and online ratings may affect hotel choice in a sample of 279 customers. By means of an alternative-specific conditional logit (asclogit) method, the authors evidence that age and gender affect choice decisions about motels, city hotels, and hotel resorts differently. There is a lower chance for customers to choose a motel if they have a higher income.

E-satisfaction and continuance intention: The moderator role of online ratings

Submitted by fba.editor on Wed, 10/16/2019 - 08:59

Given the growing importance of SNSs (social networking sites) in the online decision-making process, the authors present a new applied theory of motivation. Drawing from gratification theory, this study develops a causality model that links online informative motivation (OIM), e-satisfaction, and online ratings to guarantee the online customer’s continuance intention.

Fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) is a novel and powerful methodology used as an analytical technique and research approach in the social science field. This study aims to extend the application of fsQCA in investigating the structural associations of antecedents and the outcomes in a multi-layer problem. The research framework of ethnic themed restaurants suggested by Lu et al. (2015) and the new consistency by Huarng (2016) were adopted.
