Asian markets are becoming more and more attractive and important for German entrepreneurs. It is of pressing necessity to deliver the training of highly professional people and understanding local culture for the industrial sectors not only locally but also globally.
That is the statement of Dr. Berndt Tilp, a representative of the Information Center of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Ho Chi Minh City during a meeting between Hochschule Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences (HRW), Federal Republic of Germany and Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Vietnam in the morning of June 3, 2019.
During the meeting, the two universities discussed the prospects of cooperation in organizing exchange programs for students and lecturers in the field of economic sciences and Emerging Markets. This is an intensive field for emerging markets, especially in Asia.
Prof. Dr. Christof Römer, HRW Lecturer, said that students in this field need to be transferred to local universities for fieldwork. In addition, the selection of experienced professionals working directly in the field to guide students is something that the universities of applied science in Germany such as HRW always lay an emphasis.
HRW is a public university which strongly emphasizes on practice and real-world application. The university has a special preferential policy on tuition for students, including international ones. Life in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany), where HRW is located, is not too expensive but suitable for Asian student conditions.
Student exchange programs between HRW and TDTU are promising to meet the needs of global human resource training for both universities.
