On the morning of November 19, 2022, Faculty of Business Administration - Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in collaboration with Vietnam School of Aviation and Logistics solemnly held a ceremony to award graduation ceremony FIATA diploma in freight forwarding and talk show “Adapting to changes at workplace” for TDTU students at hall 10F. The graduation ceremony and the talk show were attended by a large number of international business students.
The graduation ceremony and the talk show were honored to have the presence of Mr. Thomas Sim - Vice President of Federation of International Freight Forwarders Association - FIATA; Mr. Dang Vu Thanh - Vice Chairman of VLA Association, General Director of Sotrans Foreign Trade Joint Stock Company. Mr. Tran Chi Dung Chairman of Academic Advisory Council of Vietnam School of Aviation and Logistics Co., Ltd; Head of training department of Vietnam Logistics Human Resource Development Association; Mr. Le Quang Trong Bang Supply Chain Director, Cargill Vietnam Company, Ms. Huynh Nhu Nguyet, Managing Director of Vietnam Aviation and Logistics School Co., Ltd. In addition, the ceremony also had the presence of business experts participating in teaching and guiding subject projects, businesses supporting students' internship and internship programs. On the side of Ton Duc Thang University, the ceremony had the presence of Dr. Phung Minh Tuan - Assistant Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Pham Thi Ngan, Head of International Business Department, some lecturers along with students of Course K22, K23 and student representatives of other courses of the Faculty of Business Administration.
In the current era of globalization and economic integration, Vietnam's economy has witnessed miraculous growth over the past decades thanks to the great contribution of logistics companies. Therefore, the social demand for high-quality human resources working in the field of logistics industry is also extremely important. Following that trend, TDTU's high-quality program in International Business has an integrated vocational certificate in international freight forwarding management (FIATA). This is a program with the cooperation of lecturers from the University and experts from businesses participating in teaching modules on supply chain management, commerce and logistics service management. Participating in these courses, learners are trained in professional skills, combining theory and practice to improve knowledge. The knowledge and skills gained from the program give them a promising future of highly qualified labor for Vietnam's growing Logistics industry. With the goal of orienting students to develop skills, creating a competitive advantage in the global labor market, TDTU has quickly implemented training programs for international practice certificates in parallel with the training program. After 2 years of experiencing a rigorous study and examination process in the framework of the training program of TDTU International Business, more than 400 students of Course K22 and K23 of TDTU's High Quality Program in International Business were honored to be organized the graduation ceremony of International Freight Forwarding Diploma in Freight Forwarding (FIATA) diploma.
In addition, the ceremony also had the talk show "Adapting to changes in workplace". The talk show provided students with information about the current logistics situation under the impact of uncertainties in the world about the epidemic, the Ukraine-Russia war leading to the supply chain disruption and the wave of inflation, development is sweeping the world, …. The speakers shared useful information related to the importance of studying International Business associated with logistics and supply chain subjects, the importance of international trade development and especially, students need to equip themselves with the ability to adapt to today's dynamic environment.
The program received a lot of interest and questions from the students. The graduation ceremony and the talk show created opportunities for students to gain more practical knowledge, improve their professional knowledge about supply chains, help students become competitive and meet the society's demand for high-quality human resources. Through the program, the Faculty of Business Administration hopes to continue to cooperate with close partners in upcoming training activities and events to bring students the best luggage for the future.
