On the morning of November 2, 2024, students majoring in International Business from the high-quality and fully English program had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on learning visit to AJ Total Vietnam’s expansive cold storage facility.
AJ Total Vietnam, a Korean-invested enterprise, operates an advanced cold storage system that supports Vietnam’s growing cold chain industry. The company manages robot-operated cold storage warehouses across various industrial zones, including Long Hau Industrial Park in Long An with a 25,600-square-meter facility that holds 32,000 tons across 31,024 pallets; Pho Noi Industrial Park in Hung Yen with 17,853 square meters and a capacity of 20,000 tons with 21,408 pallets; and Nhon Trach Industrial Park in Dong Nai, spanning 4,891.77 square meters and housing 6,948 pallets.
The field trip included three main components:
1. Learning about AJ Total Vietnam’s business operations and services.
2. Touring the cold storage facility.
3. Engaging in a Q&A session with AJ Total Vietnam representatives.
Initially, students were introduced by a representative of AJ Total to an overview of the cold supply chain, its importance to international trade, business processes, operational management, and career opportunities in this field. To enhance their understanding of cold storage, students visited the site, specifically the storage areas for different types of products, and learned about the import and export processes as well as temperature control for each type of warehouse. At the end of the tour, students engaged in a Q&A session with the AJ Total Vietnam supervisor to gain deeper insights into the company’s business practices.
