Journal Club: Competing During A Pandemic? Retailer's Ups and Downs During The COVID-19 Outbreak.

On the morning of December 21, 2020, at Room B.206, the Faculty of Business Administration held a December academic meeting with the participation of many lecturers in the faculty. At the meeting, MSc. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh presented a latest scientific paper impacts of Covid-19 on retail management landscape as well as the future directions to cope with the new normal era. Through this research paper, the author has pointed out the difficulties retailers face with unpredictable unexpected events such as epidemics in both management and human consumption perspectives. The change in buying behavior of customers forces businesses to adapt their business strategies to meet market needs in pandemic or emergency situations. The author proposes solutions to help retailers such as contactless payments, express delivery services, and production line changes.

After finishing the research presentation, lecturers in the Faculty had time to discuss actively about the limitations of the research topic and future research potentials.
