On February 6, 2023, the Faculty of Business Administration held an online journal club with the participation of the Faculty's leaders and lecturers. In this activity, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh and Mr. Nguyen Trung Tin has respectively presented 02 research papers entitled “Supply chain management during and post-COVID-19 pandemic: Mitigation strategies and practical lessons learned” and “Uses and gratifications sought by pre-adolescent and adolescent TikTok consumers”.
In the first topic, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh introduced in turn the challenges of supply chain management in the context of the extremely stressful COVID-19 epidemic, and she also raised issues related to shortages. supply of labor, the most significant and the catalyst that makes it difficult for the supply chain to function normally. She also introduced the decision-making support tool called GREY-DEMATEL and gave detailed instructions how to figure out which challenge remains the most prominent one. Thereafter, she discussed about possible short-term and long-term strategic action firms can take to mitigate such risks from Supply-Demand-Logistical sides. At the end of the presentation, Dr. Tran Cong Duc exchanged some ideas about possible future research developments inheriting this research results.
For the second topic, Mr. Nguyen Trung Tin led the presentation with previous research in the field of media communication. MSc. Nguyen Trung Tin in turn presented the research method of the article as well as 03 groups of causes leading to the use of TikTok of 2 age groups (adolescents and adolescents). In it, MSc. Nguyen Trung Tin also highlights that the main reason for this behavior comes from the entertainment needs of the two age groups mentioned above and suggests that these results are likely to remain unchanged when placed in other contexts. in Asia-Pacific. After finishing the presentation, MSc. Le Gia Phuc asked additional questions regarding the data collection as well as the research methods used in the article.
