Journal Club May/2021: Variables Influencing Cryptocurrency Use: A Technology Acceptance Model in Spain

In the afternoon of June 3, 2021, the Faculty of Business Administration held an online academic sharing session with the full participation of lecturers. In this session, Dr. Tran Cong Duc presented a new research direction with the topic of accepting the use of Cryptocurrency in Spain. Currently cryptocurrencies are emerging as a new trend that needs to be studied in academia. So there has been a lot of research on what are the main factors that make cryptocurrencies accepted by consumers and/or investors? Based on this research direction, Dr. Tran Cong Duc has shown that the factors that directly and positively affect the intention to use virtual currency include the lifespan of performance, effort expectations, social norms and standards. favorable conditions for the intention to use technology based on the UTAUT model.

Right after finishing the presentation, the faculty members spent a lively discussion about the applicability of this research paper to cryptocurrency in the current context. This is also an orientation for lecturers who intend to learn and research in this field.
