Logistics Arena 2019: Recap of the Boarding Round

On Saturday, 9th November 2019, 8:30 AM at Ton Duc Thang University, the gladiators successfully completed the competition with specialized knowledge and the ability to present English confidently and attractively. In addition, the teamwork spirit and the dedication for the contest of the contestants are also highly appreciated by the judges.

Group A started with the fascinating topic "Big Data and Empowered Customer", three teams with three different perspectives had impressed the judges. The Arrow-L team came up with the minimalistic Road Map to stick to the topic, while TripleW still chose to follow the traditional way by giving realistic situations to make the presentation more coherent. Lastly, The Logisticians, introduced innovative solutions that were not inferior to opponent teams. The equal level of the three teams made it very hard for the judges to decide the team to enter the final.

Group B was considered a "big challenge" for the teams with the theme "Green and Sustainability" your Logistics.  The Gryffindor started powerfully with the solution to use bicycles for short-haul roads that contribute to protecting the green environment. Under the extremely confident performance of the TPP team, an original solution - using Carton Pallets to help businesses not only reduce costs but also affirm the role of the organization in protecting the fresh air and reducing plastic load discharged to the environment. The final team of Group B - Simba completely won the judges with a solution based on the model of the city of Barcelona.

Group C was as challenging as Group A and Group B. The gladiators put together their views on the theme of "Retailing as a core of Distribution" - a problem that was quite well and practically evaluated in the Logistics field, which required 3 teams to make a big investment and showed their strengths. The KHLN team opened smoothly with solid arguments persuading the judges. Next was the SEA team - 4 lovely girls from Foreign Trade University who were extremely bold with the presentation that brought to the judges to many surprises. And yet, the Red Bull team continued to impress by their English ability and the great efforts of 4 boys of the "home" team Ton Duc Thang.

The heat of the second round continued, the D-class fighters persisted with the theme of "E-commerce and Elastic Logistics". The pressure was getting higher because there of the number of competitors in this group, more than from groups A, B, C, therefore the competition became fiercely. ADHN kicked off with a bit of tremble, yet only after a few minutes, they pulled themselves together thanks to the encouragement from the judges. This team received many compliments because of their English competency. Starlight team, on the other hand, tried their best to finish the presentation with high compliment for its investment in the content. The 3rd team- the International team with 3 members had confidently presented and handled the judges’ questions.  Final team of Group D was the UVA team who received many useful tips from the jury.

The success of the semi-finals could not be without the effort of a team of experienced, fair and professional judges. The organizers would like to appreciate the judges for spending their valuable time in Logistics Arena 2019. The upcoming final round, in the morning of November 17, will bring about be a compelling competition.
