In the afternoon of November 13, the Faculty of Business Administration, Ton Duc Thang University, in collaboration with Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort - ACCOR Group organized the talk show "Career Orientation in Hospitality Industry". The talk show received lots of concern and attracted lots of lectures and the first-year students from 3 campuses including Tan Phong, Nha Trang and Bao Loc.
Attending this talk show, we welcomed the participation of 4 speakers from Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort: Ms Nguyen Thị Bich Quyen, Learning and Development Manager; Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan, Front Office Manager; Mr. Ngu Huu Phuc, Food and Beverage Managerand Mr. Doan Vi Hien, Director of Housekeeping.
The aim of the talkshow is to provide both basic knowledge and career opportunities to students who had dreams to follow careers and wanted to develop themselves in the Hospitality industry. The talk show equips a complete picture of the industry and timely answer all the students’ concerns about the background, knowledge, attitude, necessary skills, English communication, etc to apply for internship and current position in the ACCOR group, in particular Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort.
At the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Quyen - Learning and Development Manager introduced the overview of ACCOR group and Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort. Ms Bich Quyen emphasized the importance of career orientation for each of student. Having the right career orientation will help each individual define a career planning, thereby making wiser choices. This is the first step, also the most important step on the journey of finding, pursuing and conquering dreams and success. In addition, Mr. Doan Vi Hien - Director of the Housekeeping Department also motivated freshmen with his valuable experience: "If we want to be successful in any profession, above all we must constantly learn and make efforts. “Enthusiasm” will be an indispensable thing for future talents.
The talk show ended successfully, and students had an opportunity to received lots of meaningful information about job opportunities, career path and internship programs at Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort. Thanks to a helpful sharing session, freshmen have become more confident in their own career development in the Hospitality Industry.
