Hosted by the Faculty of Business Administration, in collaboration with the Windsor Estate Management Corporation (WMC Group), the talk show "Strategy to conquer employers” on October 30, 2021 via OnMeeting attracted a great number of students of the Faculty of Business Administration.
Attending and the event, we welcomed the participation of 5 guest speakers from WMC group: Ms. Nguyen Hong Tham – Human Resources Director of The Reverie Saigon Hotel; Mr. Le Minh An – WMC Group's Recruitment Supervisor; Ms. Le Vo Hoang Tram – Human Resources Supervisor; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Lien - Recruitment Specialist of WMC Group; Mr. Nguyen Quang Thinh - Recruitment Specialist of WMC Group.
The talkshow not only provide audiences with skills needed to successfully market themselves in a job interview by building a professional image through job application (CV), but also strategies to approach employers via email, tips to conquer employers in the interview round and send appreciation letters to employers after the interview round. These contents are like a complete and timely answer to the question of students on the threshold of entering the job market: “How to make the right decisions for the way forward? How can I get a place in big corporations with little experience or sometimes zero?”
In addition, Ms. Thuy Lien - Recruitment Specialist of WMC Group emphazied the importance of preparing a professional and impressive CV which is not only full of information but also well-qualified in format. Simultaneously, Mr. Quang Thinh - Recruitment Specialist of WMC Group stressed that more than 90% of employers inquire candidates to submit their CV via email in the age of Industry 4.0. The first thing that impresses recruiters is not about CV, but it is all about a well-prepared and well-organized email. Therefore, email writing skills are extremely important.
Thanks to this opportunity, the students had an opportunity to exchange directly with the speakers about personal branding and job interview, and to gain much helpful knowledge and skills to be confident and be ready for any challenges in future.
