TDTU Faculty of Business Administration partners with Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) to host an International Roundtable on Managing Dependency towards Sustainability

On the morning of July 9, 2026, at Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) collaborated with Saxion University (Netherlands) to host the "Managing Dependency" Roundtable. The event gathered around 40 corporate partners, lecturers, and staff members, aiming to promote international cooperation and sustainable development orientation.

Within the framework of the working visit to Vietnam by the delegation from Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), the FBA - Ton Duc Thang University co-organized the Roundtable "Managing Dependency: The New Competitive Challenge for Sustainability."

The program welcomed the presence of representatives from Saxion:

Prof. Timber Haaker - Professor in Business Models and Adjunct Professor at FBA, TDTU.
Mr. Janco Bonnink - Director, International Office.
Ms. Ngoc Ngo - Director of Strategic Partnerships.
Mr. Sander Reinderink - Director, School of Finance and International Business.
Mr. Savan Grolleman - Program Director, Finance-Accounting & Tax Management.
Regarding the guest speakers of the program:

Ms. Le Hoang Anh - Head of Sustainability & Standard Management - System, Risk Management & Legal Department at Vinamilk.
Ms. Yen-Xuan Nguyen - Sustainability Strategy Consultant at BSA.
Representing TDTU were the Faculty Dean's Board, lecturers, and staff of the FBA, alongside representatives from friendly corporate partners. (Note: Dr. Truong Thi Ngoc Thuyen, Head, Department of International Business at Ton Duc Thang University, was also present according to the name tags).

The program commenced with a Keynote address titled "Managing Dependency: A New Perspective on Business Resilience" by Prof. Timber Haaker and a sharing session by Mr. Sander Reinderink, providing a fresh academic perspective on how organizations can manage dependency to enhance their resilience. Following this from a practical business perspective, Ms. Le Hoang Anh - Head of Sustainability & Standard Management - System, Risk Management & Legal Department at Vinamilk presented on "Managing Sustainability in Practice," sharing her expertise in risk management and implementing sustainable development within a large corporate system, specifically focusing on its application at Vinamilk.

The highlight of the event was the Roundtable discussion "From Strategy to Action: Balancing Dependency, Resilience & Sustainability," featuring Prof. Timber Haaker, Ms. Le Hoang Anh (Vinamilk), and Ms. Yen-Xuan Nguyen. The delegates discussed and answered questions from the guests revolving around three main themes: turning sustainable development into a strategic investment; balancing resilience and operational efficiency; and identifying new dependencies (technology, AI, human resources, data, partnerships) that will impact organizational resilience over the next 5 years. The Q&A session was lively, allowing FBA lecturers and corporate partners to directly engage with modern management models from international partners.

The Roundtable concluded successfully, contributing to solidifying the cooperative relationship between the Faculty of Business Administration - Ton Duc Thang University and Saxion University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands). The event clearly showcased the values of connecting academics, businesses, and international partners; updated new perspectives on dependency management; and equipped lecturers and corporate partners with practical management mindsets. This continues to be a solid step in the FBA's internationalization strategy, paving the way for more in-depth cooperation programs with Saxion in the near future.
