The delegation of the Faculty of Business Administration at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, ended a good business trip in Taiwan from July 30 to August 3, 2023. The delegation visited and worked at partner universities in Taiwan including Feng Chia University, National Chengchi University, Chinese Culture University, and National Taipei University of Business.
The cooperation relationship in research and training between the Faculty of Business Administration and the universities in Taiwan was established in 2014. From this stable friendship, the delegation has actively exchanged and developed more potential cooperation programs, connecting the academic communities of the two countries, and thereby expanding the international network of the Faculty of Business Administration and the university.
1. Visiting and working with Feng Chia University (FCU)
On July 31, 2023, the delegation visited and exchanged views with FCU as an amicable partner of the faculty and the university in research, training, and international cooperation. The delegation met with Prof. Wen-Hsiang Lai (H-index = 12), Library Director and Professor of Marketing at FCU College of Business, to discuss more about the process of building and operating a friendly and attractive library model for students to study in. At the same time, the delegation also gained experience in successfully organizing and accrediting AACSB through the model of the FCU College of Business from 2014 to the present.

Currently, the Faculty is organizing a summer semester exchange course for TDTU students at FCU under the guidance of Prof. Lai.
2. Visiting and working with National Chengchi University (NCCU)
On August 1, 2023, the delegation visited and worked for the first time at NCCU. Prof. Min-Ren Yan (H-index = 18), Professor of Governance, Director of the Alliance for Sustainable Development for Business Transformation, and Co-Founder of Industry + Innovation LABoratories (iiLABs) welcomed the delegation. At the working session, the delegation was welcomed by Prof. Yan, who shared his experience and roadmap for building an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. At the same time, the delegation also received many useful suggestions on research cooperation and building scientific journals in Business and Management.

As a result of the first working session, TDTU was invited by Prof. Yan, a member of the Board of the International Forum on Knowledge Asset Dynamics (IFKAD) to co-host the forum in the near future. IFKAD is a prestigious scientific forum held from 2006 to the present, bringing together a team of influential professors and scientists in the fields of business and socio-economics. IFKAD is also affiliated with 3 scientific journals in the SCOPUS and SSCI categories, namely Knowledge Management Research and Practice (SSCI), System Dynamics Review (SSCI), and Measuring Business Excellence (SCOPUS). Participating in the co-organization of IFKAD will also create favorable conditions for lecturers of the Faculty of Business Administration to have the opportunity to publish scientific articles in these prestigious journals.
3. Visiting and working with Chinese Culture University (CCU)
On the same day, August 1, 2023, the delegation continued to visit and work with the leadership of the CCU College of Business. For many years, lecturers of the Faculty of Business Administration in particular and of TDTU in general have participated in postgraduate courses with scholarships granted by CCU. Prof. Wen-Min Lu (H-index = 40), a Professor of International Business Administration, and currently the Dean of CCU
College of Business, expressed his appreciation of the Vietnamese TDTU lecturers for their curiosity, hard work, and efforts in all learning and research activities. The two sides discussed in detail the opportunity to organize exchange semesters and short-term exchange courses, connecting the two countries’ academic communities through the establishment of a group of students and lecturers to research sustainable development. In the spirit of promoting long-term cooperation, CCU has shared opportunities for TDTU students to attend a mass open online course (MOOC) on management and organizational behavior and digital literacy.

4. Visiting and working with National Taipei University of Business (NTUB)
As part of the series of activities of this mission, the delegation worked with Prof. Lichung Jen, President of NTUB, and Prof. Kun-Huang Huarng (H-index = 34), Vice President, on August 2, 2023, and discussed cooperation opportunities to organize exchange semesters and short-term exchange courses.
The two sides had discussions to open up opportunities for in-depth cooperation in coordinating training for Taiwanese and Vietnamese businesses on Marketing in four areas, namely high-tech, retail, healthcare, and sports. Also, the delegation had in-depth discussions with Prof. Huarng on the establishment and operation of a scientific journal in English for Business and Management, with an orientation to the ISI/SCOPUS database in the future.
The business trip to Taiwan by the Faculty of Business Administration was part of the university’s joint international cooperation plan with the orientation of developing TDTU into a dynamic, integrated, and developed university according to international standards.
