On October 30th, 2021, the Faculty of Business Administration held a workshop with the topic "Discussion for adjusting the education program of Marketing major" to have an opportunity to find effective solutions to connect the training of students and the needs of the labor market in the field of Marketing today.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the Faculty and guest representatives as follows:
The workshop was honored to have the attendance of guest representatives including: Mr. Nguyen Quang Nhat – Director - Shojiki Advertising Joint Stock Company, Chairman - OOH CLUB TPHCM, Member - Executive Committee of Vietnam Advertising Association, Member - Executive Committee Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Quy - Training Director - SMEI Vietnam; MBA. Pham Thien Phu - Academic Director - SMEI Vietnam; and Marketing alumni of Intake 16, 19, 20 and students of Intake 21, 22, 23 of Marketing Management and Marketing majors.

At the workshop, the Marketing Department received comments on the content and format of the Marketing training program from representatives of reputable associations in the Marketing industry; the department also had the opportunity to listen to alumni who have graduated with sincere sharing about what they have learned in university and what they have actually experienced at the enterprise; current students also contribute their voices and feelings about the program. All comments and contributions revolve around the goal of improving the training program, the output standards and the subjects taught in the program in order to improve the quality of Marketing teaching to become more relevant to reality and at the same time. meet the needs of the labor market.
In addition, the workshop also discussed issues related to the assessment forms of the subjects in the program according to the standards of the international accrediting organization AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).
At the end of the workshop, Marketing department, business guests, alumni and students have reviewed outstanding issues that needed to be adjusted as well as discussed appropriate improvement directions for the program in the near future.
