HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT STUDENTS DEVELOP INTERVIEW SKILLS AND ELEVATOR PITCH WITH EXPERT FROM SWISS HOTEL MANAGEMENT SCHOOL (SHMS)
Within the framework of the internationalization strategy in education and the enhancement of competitiveness for the young workforce, on the morning of March 26, 2026, the Department of Hospitality Management – Faculty of Business Administration, in collaboration with Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS), successfully organized an in-depth seminar titled: “Making a Positive First Impression: Elevator Pitch and Interview Preparation.”
The event was not only a highly practical extracurricular activity but also clearly reflected the faculty’s orientation toward integrating digital transformation trends and artificial intelligence into students’ career development. Accordingly, the program contributed to narrowing the gap between academic training and the increasingly demanding requirements of the global labor market.
The program was honored to welcome Ms. Alexandra Watts – a career development expert from SHMS, under the Swiss Education Group (SEG). With extensive international training experience, she delivered insightful analyses on how to build an effective “elevator pitch” – a personal branding tool that enables students to create a professional impression within the first few seconds when meeting recruiters.
The program content focused on developing professional communication skills, personal positioning mindset, as well as a systematic approach to interview preparation. Notably, the shared methodologies helped students understand how to transform theoretical knowledge into practical competencies, thereby enhancing their competitive advantage in a labor market that is rapidly evolving under the impact of technology.
From the leadership and guest side, the event also recorded the participation of experienced experts and lecturers in the fields of Hospitality Management.
