On the afternoon of December 11, the Faculty of Business Administration of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), in collaboration with Windsor Property Management Group (WMC Group) successfully organized a live talk show with topic "Career Orientation of the Hospitality Industry: GenZ steadies the future steps" on the online platform OnMeeting. The talk show received the great attention of lecturers and students from 3 campuses including Tan Phong, Nha Trang and Bao Loc.
The webinar welcomed the participation of speakers who are experts in Hospitality field including Mr. Le Minh An - Recruitment Supervisor of WMC Group and Mr. Nguyen Quang Thinh - Recruitment Specialist of WMC Group.
The main content of the webinar focused on job orientation and career planning for the first-year students of Hospitality Management major such as career opportunities, training opportunities, and working environment in each department in the hotel. In addition, the seminar also had useful sharing about the important skills of employees in each department as well as working trends and market demands of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.
At the event, speaker Le Minh An shares useful messages to students during their internships. He said "During the internship at the FO department, there are a lot of criteria to be evaluated such as appearance, expression, competency especially an ability to grasp the knowledge that hotel managers have trained you. Besides, students must show their motivation and goals in this industry. And based on those criteria, hotel managers will evaluate to see if the student is the right fit for that position or not".
The talk show equipped a complete picture of the industry and timely answer all the freshmen’ concerns about the background, knowledge, attitude, necessary skills, English communication in the area of Hospitality Management. Students had an opportunity to communicate with guests who have professional qualifications and long-term experiences so that they can learn lessons from both theoretical and practical perspectives in the field of hospitality. Thanks to this occasion, students can carefully prepare for their future careers in Hospitality industry.
