In the morning of November 14, 2021, Department of International Business, Faculty of Business Administration collaborated with VILAS to organize an online workshop entitled: "Experience to minimize risks in the sea transport management - some preventive solutions" on the Zoom application platform. The seminar received the attention and participation of K23 students - International Business Standards System.
The seminar is honored to have the participation of Mr. Nguyen Tam Thanh - Chief Financial Officer of ONEX Logistics; Ms. Nguyen Le Thao Hien - ONEX Logistics Import and Export Procedure Consultant.
Coming to the seminar, the students were able to acquire practical knowledge, learn and interact with industry experts. With their rich experience in the profession, the speakers helped students become aware of the risks that businesses or themselves may encounter in the process of performing freight forwarding operations by sea. And the valuable sharing of the speakers also gave students useful experiences, as well as effective measures to avoid the risks mentioned above.
At the seminar, the speakers shared to help students better understand the practical experiences to reduce risks in sea freight forwarding. Following the speaker's point of view: "Knowledge always comes from experience", speaker Nguyen Tam Thanh shared his experiences and in-depth analysis of some real-life risk situations which occur in business. Thereby, helping students visualize the process of taking place and handling risks in the sea freight forwarding business. Besides, speaker Nguyen Le Thao Hien painted an overview of risks when sharing with students such content as types of risks in sea freight forwarding, many effective solutions, methods to limit risks, and procedures for handling dangerous goods in sea transport.
Within the framework of the seminar, international business students were excited to ask questions and concerns about the application of technology and digital in the field of Logistics. The enthusiastic and open exchange between the speakers and the attendees helped the students understand more about specialized knowledge as well as become more solid in their future career orientation. The seminar created an opportunity for students to gain more practical knowledge, expertise in the field of study and job opportunities at enterprises. Through the program, the Faculty of Business Administration hopes to continue to cooperate with VILAS in upcoming activities and events to give students the best resources for their future.
