On the morning of November 6, 2021, the Faculty of Business Administration held an online talk show with the topic "Tips on effective online learning" on the Zoom application platform. The program has attracted the great attention of students and especially freshmen.
The program has the participation of Mr.Vo Minh Thanh, MSc. - Lecturer of the Department of Psychology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education; Ms. Le Cao Ky Duyen - a student majoring in Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business Administration - a student who achieved excellent academic results and excellent training in the past 2 academic years.
At the program, guest speaker Vo Minh Thanh pointed out the difference between studying in high school and university as well as the current situation for students when studying online. Thereby, the speaker shared effective learning methods such as: setting learning goals for themselves, building specific and detailed plans to achieve the set goals, effective time management. ,... In addition, in order for the online class to be no longer boring and highly effective, learner must read the documents in advance, focus on the lectures, and utilize appropriate note-taking methods. At the same time, the speaker reminded students: "Each person's success is not completely influenced by genetics and living environment, but also by the individual's sense of learning and training". In particular, in the current school environment, this is also an opportunity for the young to practice skills, bravery and critical thinking to be ready for changes as well as in the current digital transformation context."
Besides, from the perspective of a learner, Ky Duyen had both practical and honest sharing about effective learning methods, ways to increase motivation and excitement in the learning process and achieve fruitful results. In order for the lesson to be effective, students should prepare a comfortable mind and be ready to receive new knowledge from the teacher. Along with that, the use of applications such as Notion, Google Calendar, ... is also an effective way to take notes, store documents and manage time, so as not to miss any assignments.
Participating in the talkshow, the students had the opportunity to share their concerns and questions about learning methods and time management, and exchange lots of useful information with the 2 guest speakers. The talk show helped the students know how to set goals, build a study plan for themselves, balance between study and other activities as well as to find effective learning methods for themselves.
