In the morning of August 23, 2024, the Faculty successfully organized the annual meet-and-greet event for the 2024-2025 academic year at the first floor of the sports hall. This event was designed to provide students from cohorts 25, 26, and 27 the opportunity to meet the Faculty Board and faculty members, where they could have their concerns addressed, express their thoughts and aspirations, and offer suggestions for the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.
In attendance from the Faculty's Board:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly– Member of the Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Vice Chairwoman of the University Council, and Dean of the Faculty
- Dr. Phung Minh Tuan – Vice Dean
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh – Assistant to the Dean
All department heads, lecturers, and staff of the Faculty of Business Administration were also present.
Special guests included alumni of the Faculty of Business Administration who attended both in person and online from abroad:
- Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh: Recruitment Officer, Human Resources Attraction Center - FPT Telecom
- Ms. Tran Suong Anh Ngoc: Account Manager at a Social Commerce company in the social agency marketing field
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ngan: Assistant Sales Manager at New World Saigon Hotel
- Mr. Nguyen Ky Vong: Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. He is currently living and working in the U.S. and participated online in this morning's event.
...along with representatives from various students' clubs and association as well as the presence of nearly 3,000 students from cohorts 25, 26, and 27 of the Faculty.
The meet-and-greet event began with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, highlighting the significant achievements and successes of both the university and the faculty over the past academic year. She encouraged and motivated the students to continuously strive in their studies and personal development, equipping themselves with the essential knowledge and skills to become successful managers in the future. On behalf of the faculty and students of the Faculty of Business Administration, she expressed her gratitude to the university's leadership, functional departments, other faculties, the business community, alumni, and former students for their ongoing support and collaboration in the faculty's activities. She also set forth the goals for the new academic year, hoping to receive the full support and determination of the faculty's staff, students, and alumni. On the occasion of the start of the 2024-2025 academic year, she wished health and success to all the teachers and students, hoping for a fantastic school year filled with new knowledge and memorable experiences with friends, teachers, and the beloved university.
Following the opening remarks, the Economic and Social Sciences Block 1 Party Cell presented two scholarships, each valued at 5 million VND, along with gifts to two students, Tran Hong Quan from the Marketing major and Le Diem Kieu from the Human Resource Management major, who have faced difficult circumstances but have shown great effort in their studies and personal development.
To inspire the students of the Faculty of Business Administration, the guest speakers shared valuable knowledge and experiences, including tips on how to create an impressive CV that stands out to employers, steps to prepare for interviews, interview skills, the benefits of pursuing an MBA, and especially the faculty's 4+1 program.
Through this meet-and-greet event, the students of the Faculty of Business Administration had an opportunity for close and meaningful dialogue with the faculty's board, lecturers, and especially the 4 successful alumni guest speakers who have excelled in their respective fields. This interaction undoubtedly provided the students with valuable information and allowed them to accumulate beneficial knowledge. The event concluded in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere, leaving the students feeling motivated. Wishing all the students a successful academic year filled with achievements in their studies and personal growth!
