Ton Duc Thang University won Logistics Arena 2019

At 08:00 on November 17, 2019 at Ton Duc Thang University Hall 6B, the final round of Logistics Arena 2019 took place. As promised from the semi-finals, the journey to find the champion was very intense and fierce between the gladiators, however, with the will and determination of the contestants, the atmosphere was extremely vibrant. It was clear to say that every team came with great preparation so as not to disappoint the expectation of judges and audiences.

In comparison to previous seasons, Logistics Arena 2019 integrated SLIDO in order to enhance the engagement of audiences. The final round became more challenging when audiences could gave questions to the teams and voted for the most wanted questions to be answered.

The first team to start the final round was from Ton Duc Thang University - International Team.  With the topic about E-commerce - a very hot concept recently, the team chose Shopee to be the company for analysis: recommended solution to reduce payment by COD. They suggested other payment methods like using electronic wallets and text messages via phone credits to reduce risks and increasing benefits to customers and the company. Despite being the first team, the team was confident and received compliments from the judges.

Continuing the show was the presentation of Tripple W team. A familiar topic about Big Data did not seem to bother the girls from International University.  By applying the predicted transportation model to Tiki, there are many practical benefits such as speeding up the transportation process, reducing costs and inventory. With confidence and good preparation, the team received a lot of support from the judges and audiences.

The atmosphere was heated with the performance from SIMBA - representative of Ton Duc Thang University. The theme for SIMBA was Sustainability - a practical and contemporary issue. The team has given numerous evidence to predict the pollution accounted for last mile delivery. The benefit does not only save cost but also has positive impact on the living environment.  In addition, both the judges and audiences agreed on the confidence, strong determination, impressive English capability and an outstanding performance especially during the Q&A session.

The last team to compete was SEA - representative of Foreign Trade University.  With the topic related to FMCG industry, the ladies presented many figures, charts as well as items along with the products distribution location of BIBICA brand. Thereby, SEA offers a clear timeline-setting solution for the delivery process and specific figures such as place, location, distance to the company, and also presents the goals that the group aims at with the product distribution process.

Logistics Arena 2019 has come to an end with the champion belonged to SIMBA. First runner-up was the International Team, second runner-up was Triple W and the consolidation prize belonged to SEA. TDTU and the Faculty were very proud to see both teams: SIMBA and International Team achieved outstanding result.
