In the afternoon of November 13, 2021, The Human Resources Management Department of Business Administration held an online webinar: “Career path - Which direction for HRM students ?” on the OnMeeting platform. The workshop has caught the attention of students in Ton Duc Thang University in general and students from the Human resources management’s speciality in particular.
The webinar welcomed the participation of : Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Lan Vy - Vice President of Human Resources and Insurance, Mai Linh Group; Mr. Cao Tuan Minh - Senior Management, Prudential Vietnam; Ms. Dang Yan Phi - Former CHRO for multinational corporations, Human Resources consultants and training, Pepsico, Metro, Saint Globant; Mr. Nguyen Tan Vy - Chief Human Resources Officer, FPT Long Chau; Mr. Tran Van Luc - Former Head of Consulting, Human and Converter, KPMG.
Opening the webinar, the speakers shared the basic knowledge and skills to work in the Human Resources field, especially to adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic. Speaker Nguyen Ngoc Lan Vy reassured the students with advice from her practical experiences. The other speakers also pointed out that what students need to define are their strengths, the organization's needs, and doing your best in current work with a good attitude.
During the webinar, the audience members offered advice from a recruiter perspective that allows them to take advantage of opportunities that are available even under normal conditions or online activities. Speaker Dang Yen Phi argues that things should begin from small, slow, and steady steps as well as the importance of networking to create opportunities for themselves to develop and expand relationships in our time.
In the last part of the webinar, Human resources management students were excited to ask questions about the skills that recruiters appreciate when they filter out the CV and receive dedicated responses from speakers with a variety of skills such as communicating, working with people, critical thinking and so on. It was the enthusiasm of the students involved and the audience members that made the show so successful.
