On the morning of November 28, 2021, the Department of International Business, Faculty of Business Administration collaborated to organize an online workshop with VILAS: “C/O and import tax professional“ on the OnMeeting application platform. The seminar received the attention and participation of K23 students.
The program is honored to have the participation of Mr. Nguyen Tam Thanh - Chief Financial Officer of ONEX Logistics; Ms. Mai Nhu Thuy - C/O and HS Code consultant of ONEX Logistics.
Coming to the seminar, the students were able to acquire practical knowledge, learn and interact with industry experts. With extensive experience in the profession, the speakers helped students to be aware of the practical preparation of the C/O process as well as better understand the import-export tax and how to calculation. And the valuable sharing of the speakers also gave students useful experiences, as well as detailed instructions for calculating import and export tax of a shipment.
At the program, the speakers shared to help students better understand the practical experiences of C/O preparation and how to calculate import and export tax for a shipment. Speaker Mai Nhu Thuy helped students better understand the definition of C/O and what to keep in mind when preparing and submitting C/O. In addition, with practical experience, she has guided students on how to calculate import and export tax for a specific shipment. Accompanying the program, there was also the presence of a very familiar face - speaker Nguyen Tam Thanh. Speaker Nguyen Tam Thanh had practical sharing about HS code and risks as well as solutions that can be used to handle problems when having wrong HS code. With his positive energy and open mind, he has brought to the students who have consolidated and understood more useful practical knowledge.
Within the framework of the program, international business students dared to ask questions and concerns about the implementation of C/O, how to calculate import and export tax of a shipment and received enthusiastic answers. from the speakers. The enthusiastic and open exchange between the speakers and the attendees helped the students understand more about their specialized knowledge as well as become more solid in their future career orientation. Through the program, the Faculty of Business Administration hopes to continue to cooperate with VILAS in upcoming activities and events to bring students the best luggage for their future.
