Workshop “From AI to Employment”

On the afternoon of December 5, 2025, at Room A0403, the FBA Mentoring Club under the Faculty of Business Administration successfully organized the seminar titled “From AI to Employment” for students of Ton Duc Thang University. The event attracted strong interest from students across various cohorts and majors, showcasing their proactive approach to staying informed amid rapid digital transformation.

Representing the sponsor, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Phường, Director of Viet Anh Association Co., Ltd., attended the event. From the Organizing Committee and the Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Phùng Minh Tuấn, Vice Dean of the Faculty, participated alongside Mentor–Mentee pairs and a large number of engaged students.

During the seminar, guest speakers Nguyễn Chí Thành – Recruitment Team Leader at FPT Telecom, and Đinh Tiến Thịnh – Head of Training & Development at FPT Telecom, provided students with practical and up-to-date insights into artificial intelligence (AI).

The speakers helped students gain a deeper understanding of the nature and capabilities of AI—from how it processes data and supports decision-making to the limitations that users must be aware of. The program also introduced various AI applications in learning and work, illustrated with real examples from industry to show how AI optimizes workflow and enhances productivity.

A key message highlighted during the session was how to leverage AI as a personal competitive advantage. According to the speakers, AI will not replace people, but it will replace those who do not know how to use it. Therefore, students are encouraged to develop critical thinking, information-filtering skills, and the ability to ask relevant questions to use AI effectively.

The seminar provided students with a clearer perspective on the role of AI in both education and career development, equipping them with the mindset and tools needed to prepare for future career pathways in the tech-driven era. The Q&A session was lively, with questions centered on responsible AI use, avoiding overdependence on technology, and harnessing AI to enhance cognitive and professional skills.

At the end of the seminar, FBA Mentoring expressed hope that students would take a more proactive approach in utilizing AI as a “smart assistant,” thereby creating new “steps forward” on their learning and career journey.
