In July, an impressive hands-on learning program for Hospitality Management students from the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at Ton Duc Thang University was held at Sunway University, Malaysia. This program was designed to actively engage students and provide them with real-world experience in the field of Hospitality Management.
Sunway University, a globally recognized institution, is one of the top educational institutions in Malaysia, ranked among the top 600 universities worldwide. With its state-of-the-art facilities, innovative learning environment, and commitment to sustainable development, Sunway University has established itself as a leading force in international education. The practical learning program here not only broadens TDTU students' knowledge but also equips them with valuable skills in the field of Hospitality Management.
As part of this program, students from the Faculty of Business Administration had the opportunity to visit the Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, one of the premier luxury resorts. Here, students engaged with and learned from top experts in Resort and Recreation Management while experiencing luxurious, high-end services that helped them better understand guests' needs by adopting the role of real guests.
The trip also included exploring Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill restaurant, operated by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who has been awarded a total of 17 Michelin stars worldwide. At this venue, FBA students enjoyed exquisite cuisine and learned from high-calibre hospitality management models.
The program extended beyond traditional hospitality to include visits to Sunway Medical Centre and Sunway Sanctuary. These facilities represent modern and advanced models of resort service management, offering high-quality healthcare services combined with luxurious accommodation. These visits exemplify sustainable development and community contribution.
Additionally, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park and Sunway City stand out as excellent examples of sustainable economic development without harming the environment. Hospitality Management students were exposed to sustainable business practices and innovative service management models.
It is gratifying to share that the Hospitality Management students received exceptional recognition at the program's conclusion presentation. They were honored with "Most Creative Presentation" and "Best Group Presenter." These well-deserved accolades genuinely reflect the outstanding creativity and presentation skills of the FBA students, emphasizing the exceptional quality of education and training they have received.
With the theme of the program, "Sustainable Cities as Tourist Destination", the Faculty of Business Administration aims to provide students not only with in-depth knowledge of the tourism and hospitality management sectors but also with the tools and skills necessary to become successful future managers.
