On the June, 24 2020, Faculty of Business Administration held an academic seminar. PhD Nguyen Nhu Ngoc and MBA Dang Diem Phuong had sessions about their academic research.
At the beginning of the seminar, PhD Nguyen Nhu Ngoc presented an interesting topic: “Value Diversity and Team Creativity: Moderating Effect of Emotional Intelligence”. The author conducted two studies to answer research questions: Experiment, multiple comparison, hierarchical regression and Cross-sectional sequential design, task simulation and follow-up questionnaires, multilevel mixed regression. The findings reveal that value diversity may become a “double-edged sword” in organizations. Specifically, value diversity may decrease the level of team creativity if team’s emotional intelligence is low. However, when team emotional intelligence is high, team creativity flourishes.
End of session of PhD Nguyen Nhu Ngoc, MBA Dang Diem Phuong also presented about her research: “Impact of consumer ethnocentrism on purchase intention for foreign processed foods among Vietnamese consumers”. Based on the study’s results, foreign marketers should increase their interacting with Vietnamese consumers by running marketing program that help to gain consumer awareness of their country’s image and link it with the products, while local producers need to seriously follow quality control and maintain quality standards in production to build the belief of consumer for "made-in Vietnam" products.
