On the morning of September 11, 2024, at Hall 2A of Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Business Administration solemnly organized the Welcome Program for Freshman Cohort 28 with the theme "Unlock Your Future - Unlock Your Potential." This is an important annual event of the Faculty, aimed at helping new students gain a better understanding of the academic environment, extracurricular activities, and creating opportunities to network with previous student cohorts.
The event was honored to have the presence of the following representatives from the Faculty:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly - Vice Chairwoman of the University Council, Ton Duc Thang University, Dean, Faculty of Business Administration;
- Dr. Phung Minh Tuan - Vice Dean;
- M.Comm Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh - Assistant to the Dean; along with esteemed lecturers and staff of the Faculty.
Also in attendance were the event sponsors:
- Mrs. Dang Thu Tra – Manager of the Jaxtina English Language System, Ho Chi Minh City;
- Mrs. Vo Thi Huynh Huong – Head of the Training Department, Center for Training and Social Development (SDTC).
Notably, the event warmly welcomed the presence of over 1,000 new students from Cohort 28, the newest members of the Faculty of Business Administration's big family. These new students not only demonstrated great enthusiasm but also carried ambitious aspirations, fully prepared for the challenging four-year academic journey ahead.
In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly, Vice Chairwoman of the University Council and the Dean, delivered an inspiring speech. She not only warmly welcomed the new students of Cohort 28 but also expressed pride in the Faculty’s pioneering role in training outstanding students, along with its remarkable achievements in research and international collaboration. She conveyed her hopes that the students will continue this tradition and contribute to the Faculty's strong growth. Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly emphasized that each step in their academic journey is a solid foundation for their future, encouraging students to dedicate themselves to both learning and personal development.
During the program, representing the entire new student body of Cohort 28, Student Nguyen Huynh Mi, the valedictorian of the Faculty of Business Administration, shared her heartfelt thoughts on entering university life. In her speech, Mi emphasized the importance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone, discovering untapped potential, and expressed her gratitude to the University and Faculty for providing her with the opportunity to study in a professional environment that fosters the development of personal skills.
This year, the event became even more special with the participation of actor Lien Binh Phat, an alumnus of Ton Duc Thang University and a familiar face in the entertainment industry. He returned to share his success story, delivering the message that the path to success is not always easy, but perseverance in pursuing one’s passion and aspirations will open new doors. His presence provided a powerful source of motivation for the new students.
The program also welcomed singer Ngoc Kayla, who delivered impressive musical performances. Her vibrant tunes energized the atmosphere, adding excitement and enthusiasm to the event.
As the program concluded, the vibrant energy and excitement remained in the hearts of every new student. The Faculty of Business Administration hopes that the students will quickly adapt to the new environment, confidently pursue their dreams, and turn their ambitions into reality in the future.
