The concept of “ERP” (Enterprise resource planning systems) was first discussed in the early 1990s. ERP is an integrating software which collects, secures, manage and analyse operational data. Previously, each department in every company run its own management software, so the integration and synthesis of data is very challenging, especially in the era of big data. The highlighting point of ERP is that it allows the connection of all kinds of data into only one system. The ERP itself offers most of important functions such as: customer data and information management, production and supply enhancement, project quality management, inventory management, HRM, communication and network management.
The sharing session on Monday 20th of April 2020 presented by MBA Vu Phuong Thao, was to create an opportunity for lecturers to be exposed to this new concept and discuss further issues related to ERP. The selected paper entitled: "ERP and application in company operation". Despite being held online, the session received the participation of all lecturers and the discussion was vivid.
