On November 22, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration at Ton Duc Thang University organized a field trip for students majoring in Hospitality Management at Hilton Saigon. This activity allowed students to observe the real operations of an international hotel and connect their academic knowledge with practical experience.
During the program, students had the opportunity to directly experience the professional working environment of a 5-star hotel. They were introduced to the operations of key departments such as Front Office, Housekeeping, Human Resources, and Food & Beverage—areas that play an essential role in creating a seamless guest experience. Students observed the check-in and check-out procedures, the coordination between the front office and housekeeping, and the hotel’s internal communication processes that ensure smooth service delivery.
Mr. Trí Nguyễn, Learning & Development Manager, and Ms. Phạm Tấn Bảo Thuyên, Director of Human Resources, spent time meeting and sharing with the students. Through real-life examples from their careers, the speakers helped students gain deeper insights into the requirements of the hospitality profession—from professional demeanor and communication skills to problem-solving and teamwork. In particular, Mr. Trí’s insights into service culture and his diverse industry experiences inspired students to expand their perspectives on career pathways in Hospitality.
In addition to the professional discussions, students toured the hotel’s guestroom system, featuring elegant design and modern amenities. They also explored the hotel’s dining outlets, which offer four different culinary styles serving pastries, light dishes, and a variety of beverages. One highlight of the trip was visiting the Song Bar on the rooftop, where design, music, and premium service blend to create a distinctive experience.
The field trip to Hilton Saigon provided students with valuable practical lessons, helping them better understand how a 5-star hotel operates daily and the role each department plays in creating a complete guest experience. This experience allowed students to apply their academic knowledge, enhance their professional skills, and prepare more confidently for future careers in the hospitality industry.
