On April 21, 2023, in Hall A403 of Ton Duc Thang University, the Faculty of Business Administration collaborated with The Ascott Corporation to organize a dialogue session titled "Career in Hospitality, a Great Choice", with the participation of leaders, faculty members, and around 150 students of third- and fourth-year from the Hospitality Management major.
Attending this program was the presence of delegates and speakers from The Ascott Group:
- Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Minh - Human Resources Director of the corporation in Vietnam;
- Ms. Ireen Chew - The Ascott Group's Director of Sales and Marketing for Vietnam;
- Ms. Cao Thi Nhung – Deputy Director of Human Resources for the Southern Region;
- Ms. Pham Do Thien Huong – Regional Manager of Training and Human Resource Development for the Southern Region.
The talkshow's primary focus was on educating students about current events, new trends in the industry, and the necessary training for Business Administration majors in Hospitality Management, particularly the field of Sales and Marketing in the Hospitality industry. The practical information presented in the seminar will assist students in balancing theory and practice to help them focus on their careers and be well-prepared to face the job market shortly.
The Q&A session between the speakers and the TDTU students further added to the seminar's dynamic atmosphere. The visitors devotedly responded to students' practical questions regarding employment possibilities and hiring requirements in various sectors of the industry. The information presented in the lecture is useful for assisting students in developing a deeper understanding of the hospitality sector. Thereby, students will know how to impress employers and become excellent employees later.
