Professor Anil Verma, the Adjunct Professor of Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), had a seminar about “TIPS FOR CAREER SUCCESS” with students of FBA on October 17th, 2017 at the room F507. Dr. Pham Thi Ngan, Head of Department of International Business together with Mrs. Phan Thuy Kieu, lecturer of Department of Management and Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, lecturer of Department of Marketing.
Prof. Verma explained the key reasons to be persistent when facing many kinds of hurdles in the career ladder. He suggested that students should consider hurdles as opportunities to achieve more knowledge, skills and experience. Students had better pursue three fundamental elements including career positioning, career skills and career management. Additionally, he applied the punctuated equilibria to the career development which means that change is not uniform in pace but often occurs in cycles in which great transitions take place during short time frames and are followed by long periods with almost no change. He also introduced the progress on the job to get more value-added assignments. The seminar came to an end with the Q&A section.
