In the afternoon of March 10th, 2018, as the approval of Administration Department of Nha Trang campus, all students of Marketing class (20th batch) went to Kim Son Pagoda (in Ngoc Hoi Village, Vinh Ngoc Ward, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province) to give presents and visit local charity classes under the guidance of Ms. Le Thi Thuy Phuong and Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh.
Kim Son Pagoda is well-known because of its history as well as the huge attention of cosmopolitans to the local charity classes. Those classes were built in order to teach “letter and number” for toddlers older than 4 years old of mountainous and outland families who had no chances to go to school in Ngoc Hoi and some nearby villages in Vinh Ngoc Ward. At the current time, Kim Son Pagoda has organized (including basic sewing techniques training) and nursed more than 300 abandoned kids without privilege of studying. Some of them have been recruited by appropriate companies. Besides the current class of more than 45 toddlers, the Pagoda is also in charge of caring and nursing more than 10 kids suffering with special situations such as orphan; hand, foot and mouth disease, etc.
Along the visiting trip at the Pagoda, two lecturers and students gave 2 boxes of presents for the Pagoda likewise candies and cookies for the children. While visiting the charity classes, our students danced, sang, played and did some other activities together with the children. It was very happy and relaxed time. After the visiting trip, our lecturers and students took some pictures with monks and the kids for memorizing the meaningful trip. The trip to Kim Son Pagoda and local charity classes helped the students of 20th Marketing class have clear awareness of sharing difficulties with unpriviledged people around, as well as the responsibilities to public community then contribute to the development of our future society.
