On March 24th, 2018, students of 4 Marketing gifted classes of 20th and 21st batches of TDTU had a “special lesson” not at well-equipped rooms but at Tam Duc’s Loving Home, Linh Son Pagoda (43/20 Doan Nhu Hai Street, Ward 12, District 4, HCMC) where nearly 70 abandoned children being nurtured since the time when they were born.
The trip was planned quite a long time ago with donations of many students including milk and rice used as gifts for those poor lives. The tiny beloved home was visited by 2 groups of our students. Most of the children were at really young ages from toddler ages to 4 and 5 years old nurturing by Abbot Thich Tanh Tue and other philanthropists taking care of them. Looking at them playing and laughing unworriedly was hurting because though they were very lovely and cute but had no caring from parents. Our students understood deeply that they were much luckier and got more motivations in studying and developing to have abilities in helping more lamentable lives.
Being touched saying goodbye to lovely children, our students continued their trip to Ho Chi Minh Museum reserving historical documents and relics of the old Nha Rong Port where the young man Nguyen Ai Quoc finding to way to liberate our country. “Class meeting activity” was formed with the appearance of Ms. Le Thi Thuy Phuong, Head of Marketing department of the Faculty of Business Administration of TDTU, after free visiting at the museum. This was a precious opportunities for freshman and sophomore students contacting and exchanging together likewise sharing learning, training experience that enhance and inspire passions of their future career.
This trip actually brought unforgettable memories and meaningful value to the students. They did not only have chances to contribute to a social community, improve activeness and creativeness in organizing activities; but also enhanced connections within each member and classes. Good students will become society’s hope with the willingness of contributions and sharing with other unprivileged people. Sincerely thanks to Youth Union and lecturers of Faculty of Business Administration and for this meaningful trip.
