TDTU is the first public university in Vietnam with its infrastructure and teaching conditions rated 5 stars/5 stars according to the QS Stars (UK) standard.
The university currently has campuses in Ho Chi Minh City, Bao Loc City (Lam Dong Province), Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa Province), and Ca Mau City (Ca Mau Province). The main campus in Phu My Hung Urban Area, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, resembles university campuses in Singapore or Europe; it is modernly designed, built uniformly, and of very high construction quality. The entire campus is like a resort, a true park with green lawns, flower gardens, and statues everywhere; and it is exceptionally clean, tidy throughout. Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan expressed to the TDTU faculty and students that she was particularly "impressed to see a clean school from the inside out, beautiful from the outside in"; Former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang said, "the cleanliness of this university should be rated 6 stars, not just 5 stars."
All classrooms are air-conditioned, all majors have laboratories, labs, and simulation practice rooms; everywhere in the main campus is a learning environment; the entire campus is imbued with university culture, everyone is polite to each other, behaving gracefully and courteously; students line up for elevators, withdraw money at ATMs, board buses, queue for self-selected meals at the canteen... The university culture and student culture at TDTU are something that elsewhere might only be imagined; here, it is the daily environment, the everyday breath.
With such a working and learning environment, it's no surprise that TDTU is also the first university in Vietnam to enter the TOP 200 most sustainable universities in the world according to the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking and is certified by the Vietnam UNESCO Clubs Federation as an "Environmentally Friendly Campus".
